TALKING CONTENT CREATION AND ADD-ONS!
There’s a lot to destination wedding photography! Each and every happy couple has a customized wish list of what they want, don’t want, and definitely need. From traditional photography and videography to drone footage and additional event coverage, what we can do is almost endless. But it’s almost 2025, and there is a new add-on in town. Introducing content creation. Here’s what it is, what it’s about, and why you might need it!
WHAT IS CONTENT?
We all scroll the Gram, flip through YouTube, and Snap Chat our fave moments with friends. Content is how we approach social media, and what we share with the world. On the daily, you might post happy snaps with your bestie, repost a story you resonate with, or give an online shoutout to your loved ones. This is all content and how we communicate with our circle when times are busy. But when it comes to weddings and events, content takes on a whole new meaning. Let’s get “profesh” and break down what types of content we create to transform the traditional wedding album into digitally dynamic perfection.
WHAT TYPES OF CONTENT CAN I GET FROM MY DESTINATION WEDDING?
The world is your oyster! Let’s talk basics:
Instagram Reels: Reels are short videos created to summarize a moment and engage with your audience. They are a fantastic way to make guests unable to be present on the day feel part of the experience. Depending on your requirements, reels can be uploaded during the event itself, or sent to you in the following days so that you can upload teasers during the weeks following your celebration. We’ll make the edits, we’ll add the music, and you’ll go viral before you know it :)
2. Drone Footage: Taking to the skies is one of our favorite ways to boost your wedding video or photo gallery. While flying drones isn’t permitted at all locations (think dangerous cliff faces, insurance issues, etc.), many venues will allow it. Our drones take both photos and video, which means we can capture your venue and special outdoor moments from above.
3. Super 8 Film/Super 35 MM Photo: A mega trend in 2024, this old-school add-on is set to rock 2025! Remember photography class in high school? It’s all about shooting on traditional film and developing in the dark room (photography), and capturing video as it was done in the past. The look is vintage and chic, adding a little nostalgia to your final product.
WHO SHOOTS MY CONTENT?
This depends! When customizing your package, we assess whether your primary photographer and/or second shooter will have sufficient time to create content, or whether a third team member is required. For larger content projects, we recommend a dedicated individual who will be solely focused on creating amazing videos for your Gram. When it comes to Super 8 film and Super 35 MM projects, we will have an expert onsite to ensure we capture your special moments both as it’s done today and as it was done back then!
WHEN DO I RECEIVE MY CONTENT?
When adding content creation services we consider your package “customized”. Depending on what content you will require, delivery times can vary. We’ll chat, we’ll vibe, and then we will send you a personalized proposal that will include pricing, conditions, and delivery times. Again, reels can be produced in the moment, or forwarded in the days following the wedding. It’s all doable 🙂

Any destination wedding in Mexico is an exciting moment! Written permission from your location (or stated in your location contract) that the flying of drones is permitted at your venue.
Prior notice of any insurance paperwork needed to fly drones onsite.

THE CONCLUSION
Content is where it’s at. That’s not to say that a traditional and creative wedding photography album or video isn’t enough. But when it comes to destination weddings in Mexico, and considering the importance of social media in our daily lives, we are noticing our gorgeous brides and grooms are looking for a little POW in their package!
