ABOUT
MEET THE ARTIST
GARY BLAKE
During my 10 years in the industry, I have always loved my craft to create and capture people in the most gorgeous settings here on this big blue marble. I have found that I am talented in the sappy little moments that make up our lives and I have a skill to turn all those unique candid moments into visual pieces of art that others have cherished. I have never pictured myself without a camera in my hands (pun intended) and I plan to add to that picture with my vision of Raw Media.
My career as a photographer started out in Orlando, Florida. It was there that I began my work in learning the trade through the practice of Hospitality. My career really began to thrive as I worked with major hotel brands such as The Ritz-Carlton and The JW Marriott. As I began to be well versed in luxury culture, my career led me to yet another luxury destination: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
My love of Spanish culture grew even more and I had the chance to be a part of two hotel openings: Montage Los Cabos & Solaz Los Cabos. Both were HUGE undertakings for me as a photographer and luxury hotelier. In that environment, I learned that landscape, story, and style can bring a photo both purpose and meaning. A photographer must be purposeful in the manner they wish to portray their subject. That is where I needed to bring out the RAW and REAL.
Raw Media is not like most photography studios. It is a culmination of years of preparation, knowledge, and skill that I have learned to sharpen over the years. All of these moments of portraits, family beach sessions, and weddings that have crossed my lens have prepared me for your big moment.
Warmest Aloha,
Gary Blake
