It’s hard out there for a newly engaged couple! Running budgets, checking timelines, and often dealing with language barriers. You have enough on your plate, which is where we come in. At Raw Media Creative we LOVE to travel. We fly here, there, and everywhere to capture LOVE in its finest moments. We want to chat with you about what are travel fees for destination wedding photography, and when they apply.
What are Travel Fees?
We all have a home base. At Raw Media Creative, our team is based in Los Cabos, the Riviera Maya, and Sinaloa, which means we are all “home office”. The post-Covid era has us all working a little differently, and it’s a model that isn’t set to reverse anytime soon. What does this mean? We travel and can attend to you from A to Z, wherever your engagement session, wedding day, or family shoot takes place.
When it comes to travel fees, this depends upon your shoot location. Most photographers ask for the following:
Flights
Accommodation (arriving 2 days prior to wedding events in order to scout the location and meet the couple)
Meals
Ground transportation (airport to accommodations/venue, round trip)
Why pay Travel Fees?
It’s completely up to you! Most items in a wedding budget are a simple 1+1=2, but photography, videography, and content creation are where the artistry comes on stage to play! These are the memories you will have to show your children, your grandchildren, and the next generations. It’s important to find an artist that vibes with your vision, your imagination, and your dreams. That’s the word! VIBE!
Every destination has a ton of amazingly talented professionals. You can take your pick of the crop and avoid that travel fee. That being said, when you find someone you LOVE, it might be worth flying them in to make sure your memories are captured exactly as you feel them.
Do we charge Travel Fees at Raw Media Creative?
It depends on the destination! We try to cover your travel fees in your package price from the get-go, but that being said, certain destinations require us to block our calendar over various dates, meaning we might need to increase the price a little. Let me let you in on a little secret….
